Will of Jane MAY of Sandford Mill
Berkshire, widow, 2nd March 1878

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Jane MAY of Sandford Mill in the County of Berkshire, Widow.  I direct all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid as soon as conveniently after my decease and subject thereto I bequeath to my son William MAY all and singular my fixtures in the Mill occupied by me and called Sandford Mill.  And as to the rest of my estate whether real or personal I devise and bequeath the same unto and between my five children John MAY, William MAY, Jane Ann A’BEAR, Emma MEDCALF and Joseph William MAY share and share alike as tenants in common.  And I appoint my said sons John MAY and William MAY and my son in law William MEDCALF of Hurst in the said County of Berkshire Executors of this my Will.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this second day of March one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight.

Signed and acknowledged by the above named Jane MAY as her Will in the presence of us at the same time who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witness.

Proved at Oxford, the third day of December 1880 by the oaths of John MAY, William MAY the sons and William MEDCALF the Executors to whom administration was granted.

The Testatrix Jane MAY was late of Sandford Mill, Sonning in the County of Berkshire, Widow, and died on the fourth day of November 1880 at Sandford Mill, Sonning aforesaid.
